This May, the Florida College Access Network (FCAN) Talent Strong Summit 2024 spotlighted education insights and showcased Midtown Consulting Group’s (MCG) fresh marketing initiatives. Held in the Orlando Hilton from May 8-10, MCG’s booth became a hub of interaction, featuring vibrant new marketing materials and live demonstrations of their cutting-edge data and AI solutions in education.

As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, MCG showcased the impactful benefits of their unique applications of Microsoft’s Data and AI technologies, offering attendees a firsthand look at the advantages. Updated promotional materials and demonstrations at the MCG booth highlighted how data-driven analytics and AI are reshaping education strategies. One of the key highlights was the interactive readiness models, a product from MCG’s collaboration with CFEED which feature Dual Enrollment Readiness, Post-Secondary Readiness, Transfer Readiness, and Transfer Shock. These predictive models have significantly refined academic strategies and student support systems across Central Florida.

The summit was also an opportunity for thought leadership, with Michael Holt, MCG’s Chief Innovation Officer, and Ashton Terry from the School District of Osceola County, leading a notable session. The discussion, titled “CFEED: Interactive Readiness Model – Driving Change to Support Student Access and Success,” underscored the transformative power of integrating deep education data with advanced analytics to enhance student outcomes.

This session provided a deep dive into how MCG, in collaboration with CFEED, harnesses extensive data to tailor educational pathways and improve post-secondary readiness for students. Michael Holt emphasized, “Our innovative tools, developed through our partnership with CFEED, allow educational institutions to engage with and support students more effectively, ensuring each student has the tools they need to succeed.”

The CFEED partnership includes Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), School District of Osceola County (SDOC), University of Central Florida (UCF), Valencia College and Midtown Consulting Group.  With support from Helios Education Foundation, CFEED partners are engaged in a Collaborative Design Phase to grow organizational capacity and develop hypotheses on student readiness, through an innovative project intended to support student success all along the pre-kindergarten to postsecondary continuum. The Central Florida Education Eco System Database (CFEED) brings together four large-scale education institutions under one collaborative initiative, funded by Helios Education Foundation, to share information, identify opportunities to enhance learning, and propel the educational attainment of all Central Florida students.
