MCG SOLUTION IGNITES CONSISTENT GRADUATION SUCCESS
Using MCG’s data driven solution, Duval County Public Schools was able to tailor a unique curriculum leading to an improvement percentage point increase of 26.9 over the last 10 years. This makes Duval County the leader in graduation improvement among Florida’s seven largest school districts. This percentage was well above the State’s 19.4 percentage point expectation.

MCG HELPS IDENTIFY AT-RISK TRANSFER STUDENTS FOR VALENCIA AND UCF
Through a partnership between MCG, Valencia College, the University of Central Florida and the Helios Education Foundation analysis was developed for high school students who graduated from Osceola County or Orange County Public School Districts, then matriculated to UCF or Valencia. The research revealed that the likelihood of a student’s successful transfer was based on 3 previously unknown key data points. This new information highlighted where administrators could introduce additional counseling and support to ensure successful college transfers.

MCG FORGES PARTNERSHIPS TO DELIVER MINORITY STUDENTS SUCCESS
MCG in partnership with the Helios Education Foundation and CFEED successfully designed a data model to recalculate post-secondary and dual enrollment readiness which disproved what the previous data model had shown: 85 percent of Black male students were disproportionally unprepared to participate in post-secondary or dual enrollment. MCG’s analytics solution considered measurements based on course taking patterns, performance against peer groups and acceleration points – all stronger and more equitable readiness indicators rather than the testing needed to meet requirements, which is largely inaccessible to people of color.
